“What on earth are we doing?”
If a change of course requires changes in work, work processes and cooperative working, I’m completely in my element. Although it’s true that the prospect of improvement is half the work, you shouldn’t forget: execution. That means bringing ambitions to life. It means the familiar and yet ever-changing search for what works best for your organization, and then applying it.

CV
I graduated in social & organizational psychology in Amsterdam in 1986, and I’ve been a partner in CORDES since 1992. Since 1985, I have worked as a junior external consultant, an internal organization consultant and, from 1988, as an external consultant for one of the large consultancy firms (Coopers & Lybrand).
The publications I take the most pride in are the articles on organization research, situational consulting and management-line/support staff relationships.
I put my interest in developing the professionalism of consulting (as a member of the OOA) and consultancies into practice in the board of the Dutch Association of Management Consultants (ROA: 5000 consultants, 26 firms, www.roa-advies.nl) since 2003. Since january 2009 I am the president of this council.
Private life: everything has its rhythm
Drumming and golf require a sense of rhythm and an ability, sometimes intuitive, to discover and apply variations to the basic themes.
“Allow people to do it themselves and do not take over, unless....”, is a guiding principle not only in my work, but also in raising my three children.
