“Behaviour is a choice”
In my job, I would like to see people assume responsibility for their behaviour and attitude. We are unable to influence certain events or circumstances but we are able to change the way we deal with them.
Once the usefulness and necessity of change become clear, people will usually opt to change themselves. If they don’t, it is time to start digging a bit deeper. I like to involve people. I take their input seriously and use their good ideas to adjust the approach. In this way, they regain ownership of their own change process.

CV:
Since graduating in environmental health, I have had various jobs in both the profit and non-profit sectors. Following a period of reorientation, I’ve been working as a career and organisation consultant since 2000. For the last 2 years, I’ve been an HRM consultant for an organisation with more than 1,800 employees, where I led a project to change absenteeism behaviour and to lower the absenteeism rate. I’ve been working for Cordes as a trainer/organisation advisor since 2008.
Private life:
I relax while preparing tapas and trying out new dishes. And, of course, while I eat them afterwards, preferably with a good bottle of wine and in pleasant company. A game of Settlers of Catan or Machiavelli completes my perfect evening.
